Necklace Amphibious Corps

The Amphibious Corps Necklace is a highly field-ready and robust piece of jewelry for Amphibious Corps soldiers and veterans. The necklace is carefully crafted from genuine silver with no less than three different types of enamel.

The story behind Torleif

Torleif was created in 1962 by the conscripted coastal hunter Bosse Thorén. Thorén carved the first Torleif in wood as a proposal for a new beret badge for the platoon commanders. When Thorén's platoon had a request for a round beret badge instead of the Coast Hunters' trident. In addition, Thorén's girlfriend at the time embroidered the first cloth badge with Torleif on it at about the same time. The stylized Viking came to adorn official and unofficial unit badges for the Amphibious Battalion at KA1 for decades. However, it would be 40 years before the Viking would adorn the commando green berets of the amphibious soldiers. The original, which was most likely made in the field, is preserved along with the embroidered badge in Vanheim at the Stockholm Amphibious Regiment.

The necklace is therefore perfect for both coastal hunters and amphibious soldiers.

The necklace is water resistant.

The jewelry is a way to remember the hardships that the combat obstacle course and the fast march entail. As well as the pride of being awarded the training badge after Exercise Amphibious after the dung clock and the final run. In the same way, the jewelry is worn by several coastal hunters of the old school who remember Torleif as the main identification symbol – almost equivalent to the coastal hunters' golden trident.

Please note that each necklace is carefully made by hand. This means that each individual piece of jewelry has its own character and the surface finish may vary slightly from piece to piece.
